Terms of Service

These Terms govern the Afterparties app, website and related services (the "Service"), operated by Wally Dakdouk, trading as Afterparties, a sole trader established in Sweden. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and the Community Guidelines. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility and account
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract. Provide truthful, current information and protect your credentials. Accounts are personal and may not be sold, transferred, shared, impersonated or used deceptively. We may restrict or remove accounts where we reasonably suspect underage use, false information, fraud, abuse or serious rule violations.
2. What Afterparties is — and is not
Afterparties is a social-discovery platform for adults. It helps users discover people, matches, messages and events. Unless an event page expressly identifies Afterparties as the organiser, Afterparties is the platform, not the organiser, host, venue, ticket seller, transport provider or security provider for that event.
Recommendations, compatibility indicators, attendance indicators, location information and other suggestions are informational. They do not guarantee identity, compatibility, attendance, conduct, safety, availability or any particular outcome.
3. User responsibility and real-world meetings
You decide whether, when and where to communicate with, meet or attend an event with another user. You are responsible for using reasonable judgment and precautions. Meeting another person through Afterparties involves ordinary real-world risks that an online platform cannot eliminate.
Afterparties does not control users' conduct outside the Service. We do not guarantee that information supplied by another user is true or complete. Meet in public initially where appropriate, arrange your own transport, tell someone you trust, protect personal and financial information, and contact emergency services in an emergency. Reporting and blocking tools are not emergency services.
Nothing in this section removes any responsibility Afterparties has under mandatory law for its own acts or omissions.
4. Verification, Face AI and Verified status
Verification may include a newly captured selfie, approved profile photos, image-quality or liveness checks, ID visibility, facial-similarity analysis and human review. Where Face AI requires consent, consent is requested separately. A manual-review alternative is available without Face AI comparison and may take up to 24 hours.
Automated verification may make mistakes. An unclear result may require another attempt or human review. You may request human review or contest an automated verification result as described in the Privacy Policy.
A Verified badge means only that the account passed the verification process available at that time. It is not a criminal-record check, comprehensive background check, guarantee of legal identity, age, intentions, trustworthiness, safety or future behaviour, and it must not be relied upon as such.
5. Acceptable use
You must follow applicable law and the Community Guidelines. You must not harass, threaten, exploit, stalk, discriminate against or harm another person; impersonate someone; misrepresent age, identity, intentions or events; publish unlawful or prohibited content; scam or solicit money deceptively; send spam, phishing or malware; misuse reporting or verification; scrape protected data; bypass security or access controls; disclose another person's private information without authority; or infringe privacy, intellectual-property or other rights.
6. User content
You retain ownership of content you submit and confirm you have the rights needed to submit it. You grant Afterparties a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, format, display and technically process that content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, moderate, improve and provide the Service and comply with law.
You are responsible for your User Content and for obtaining consent before publishing another person's private information, image or other protected material where required.
7. Events and private events
Events may be user-created, imported from third parties, or expressly organised/promoted by Afterparties. The organiser should be identified where known. If Afterparties is not expressly named as organiser, the organiser/host — not Afterparties — is responsible for running the event.
Hosts are responsible for truthful event information, lawful use of the venue, required permissions, capacity, age restrictions, alcohol rules, accessibility where legally required and reasonable safety arrangements. A host must not use a private event to facilitate unlawful activity, exploitation, harassment or unsafe conduct.
Attendees decide whether an event is suitable for them and must follow applicable law and venue/host rules. Events can change, move or be cancelled. External ticket purchases and refunds are governed by the seller/organiser and mandatory consumer law.
A private address or other restricted event information must not be copied, published or shared outside the authorised attendee group except where necessary for safety, emergency assistance or law enforcement.
8. Alcohol, drugs and unlawful conduct
Afterparties does not authorise unlawful alcohol sales, service to minors, illegal drugs or other unlawful conduct. Users and event hosts are individually responsible for complying with applicable alcohol, drug, public-order and safety laws. Afterparties may remove content or accounts connected with suspected unlawful or dangerous activity.
9. Moderation, reports and appeals
We may use automated tools and human review to detect and assess suspected violations. Where reasonably necessary, we may remove or restrict content, reduce distribution, warn users, restrict features or suspend/terminate accounts to enforce these Terms, protect users, prevent fraud/security threats or comply with law.
Where applicable law requires it, we provide reasons and access to an appropriate internal complaint or appeal process. Eligible appeals will not be decided solely by automated means. We may act immediately without prior notice where reasonably necessary for urgent safety, fraud, security or legal reasons.
10. Third-party events and services
The Service may contain information, links or integrations from independent event organisers, venues, maps, login providers, analytics providers, verification providers, payment services, Apple, Google or other third parties. Their own terms may apply. Afterparties is responsible for its own legal obligations but does not control independent third-party services and does not guarantee their continued availability, accuracy or performance.
11. Purchases and subscriptions
Free access and paid Plus, Gold and Platinum plans are available. Prices, currency, billing interval, included benefits and any trial terms are displayed before purchase. An auto-renewing subscription renews until cancelled through the store's subscription settings. Deleting your account or the app does not cancel that subscription. Use Restore Purchases for eligible purchases on the same store account; consumables are not restored as subscriptions. Optional Profile Boost runs for 30 minutes per activation and Event Boost for 24 hours per activation. Packs grant the displayed number of credits. Purchased unused credits do not expire. The duration of an activated benefit is different from the life of an unused credit. Passport offers the duration shown at purchase (7 or 30 days). Super Like packs grant the displayed quantity. Boosts increase visibility without guaranteeing matches, attendance or a fixed audience. Event Boost is limited to eligible events you host; the app shows eligibility before activation. Accepting this agreement does not buy anything or authorise automatic conversion from free access. Charges require a separate purchase confirmation. Manage cancellation and request App Store refunds through Apple; contact info@afterparties.app for delivery problems. Applicable consumer rights, withdrawal rights where available, refunds and remedies for faulty digital services remain unaffected. These terms do not impose a blanket no-refund rule.
12. Intellectual property
The Service, excluding User Content, including software, design, logos, text, graphics and features, belongs to Afterparties or its licensors. You receive a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use the Service according to these Terms. No ownership rights are transferred.
13. Privacy
The Privacy Policy explains personal-data processing, verification data, Face AI, retention and your rights. Acceptance of these Terms is not a substitute for separate consent where data-protection law requires consent.
14. Availability and changes
We use reasonable care in providing the Service, but apps and online services can experience maintenance, technical faults, outages and third-party failures. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may modify features for legal, safety, security, technical or legitimate business reasons, subject to mandatory rights applicable to digital services.
15. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded or restricted, including liability where applicable law prohibits limitation for fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury.
Subject to mandatory law, Afterparties is not responsible for another user's independent conduct; a user-hosted or independent third-party event; an external organiser, venue, ticket seller or transport provider; information a user or independent third party supplies; or indirect/unforeseeable losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the agreement was made, to the extent such liability may lawfully be limited.
These Terms do not make the user responsible for harm caused by Afterparties where mandatory law places that responsibility on Afterparties, and no limitation is intended to leave a consumer without a remedy guaranteed by law.
16. Suspension, termination and deletion
You may stop using the Service and request account deletion through Settings. We may restrict or terminate access for material or repeated violations, unlawful conduct, fraud, safety/security threats, non-payment of an activated paid service or legal requirements. Where required, we provide notice, reasons and an opportunity to appeal unless doing so would create a risk, compromise an investigation or violate law.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms for legal, safety, security, technical or legitimate business reasons. We will publish the effective date and give reasonable advance notice of material changes where required. If a change requires fresh acceptance or consent, we will request it. Continued use does not replace affirmative consent where law requires it.
18. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by Swedish law without depriving consumers of mandatory protections available under the law of their habitual residence. Contact Info@afterparties.app first so we can try to resolve a complaint. Swedish consumers may also apply to Allmänna reklamationsnämnden (ARN) where the matter falls within its competence. Disputes may be brought before a competent court, without removing mandatory consumer jurisdiction rights.
19. General provisions
If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply. Failure to enforce a provision immediately is not a waiver. Translations are provided for accessibility and should be interpreted consistently. Mandatory law prevails over any conflicting contractual wording.
